New Visitors to Wheaton!

We had a houseful of guests for Easter! Jen's parents: Judi and Chalmer Wiegman came from Dalhart along with Rebecca (Jen's brother A.J.'s wife) and their two children, Kaylor and Hudson.

Sweet Kaylor crashed on the way home from church. She slept right through our Easter pictures AND even through lunch!

Easter pics in the yard.

Poor Baby Hudson fell asleep after his big Easter lunch and after talking to his Daddy on the phone.

See more Easter fun photos under the Easter 2009 post.

Seriously?

Photo take 4/6/2009. I'm looking on the bright side. The last winter storm of 2009 was one day earlier than last year (I hope!) If this trend continues, by the time I'm 76 years old, winter will be over by March.

Thomthin'th Mithin'

Halle lost her first tooth!

Luckily, she has watched her brothers loose teeth for years and so she knew JUST what to do with her tooth. Into the tooth pillow it went!

And behind her pillow as well.

A toothless grin awaiting the Tooth Fairy....

......which earned her 5 bucks!

She has decided that loosing teeth is quite lucrative. She's already lost another one and two more loose! Looks like the Tooth Fairy might have to get a second job!

Halle Riding

Halle takes horseback riding as party of her weekly therapy. It is great for her to grasp the reins, and it takes strength for her to pull the reins to her hip to steer the horse--especially on the right side. Her regular physical and occupational therapists at the hospital have commented on how much the horse-back riding has helped her. It simulates her own walking and she has to learn to sit tall and straight and also hold her core in the center as the horse shifts right to left. She also gains strength by posting (standing) and keeping her balance as the horse moves. Best thing is she LOVES it! She would make my daddy proud.

Chef Halle

Halle got an apron and cookie kit for her birthday so we decided to make them. Kinderbear helped us.

Mixing it all up!

Placing them on the pan.

Would've been great if I had taken a picture of her EATING the cookies, but hindsight is always 20/20. I will tell you, though, they were YUMMY!
